SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking highly motivated Scientists to leverage their expertise and provide scientific support to assess new technologies and determine the viability of concepts based on fundamental scientific laws. As the Scientist, you will discover and forecast technologies and products that can advance the Sponsor’s mission capabilities that capitalize on existing and developing markets and technologies. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Assisting with technology scouting for mission application
- Conducting research and development with the intention of improving existing products and procedures (This may include the initial research and development of early phase of a product or procedure’s use in an operational context, conduct of market surveys, analysis of alternative solutions, demonstrations of conceptual viability, and initial feasibility concepts
- Facilitating the aggregation of technical data to extract meaningful content for application and utilizing extracted data to support need and/or capability
- Discovering and forecasting viable technologies via trade space analysis, technology transfer support, development support, and implementation support in order to advance mission capabilities
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Years of relevant experience
- 0-2 (Entry)
- 3-5 (Fundamental)
- 6-10 (Senior)
- 11-15 (Expert)
- 16+ (SME)
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
