Description

SAIC is seeking a Sr. Special Security Officer to support our customer at Ft. Meade in Maryland.
 
The successful candidate will be supporting the management and oversight of a comprehensive Special Compartmented Information (SCI) program by maintaining security files and forms including, but not limited to, foreign national association reports, unofficial travel requests, investigation packages, and security accreditation investigation packages, and other appropriate day to day security support to SCIF operations.
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Using knowledge of commonly applied personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out a variety of support assignments.
  • Managing a wide variety of personnel security functions related to in-processing and out-processing of command affiliates
  • Exhibiting an in-depth level of knowledge of all security oversight publications, instructions, and guides. 
  • Contributing substantive content to the development and implementation of security policies.
  • Initiating action towards accomplishing assignments and assists in furthering progress toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives
  • Possessing the ability to establish effective professional relationships with senior military leadership, civilian leaders, coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission
  • Knowledgeable of physical security and SAP/STO procedures

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and ten years of related experience; Masters and eight years of related experience. 
  • Proven knowledge of all security oversight publications, instructions, and guides
  • Possesses practical knowledge and experience with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Scattered-Castles
  • Experience in SAP/STO procedures and policies 
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Experience and background in with physical security procedures, policies, and operations. 

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
