SAIC is seeking a top-notch Facilities Project Manager to join our talented team at Ft Belvoir, VA. This position is responsible for providing facilities project management and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) expertise.   

The ideal candidate will primarily serve as the Project Manager overseeing and managing the task and functions related to the O&M of a Government facility but will also have project management responsibilities for construction and recapitalization efforts at the Government facility.  The candidate must be able to interface with the on-site government facilities management organization, design and construction contractors, the Site O&M contractor, local utilities, and outside vendors/contractors.

In this role you will:

  • Act as the liaison, reporting to and coordinating with U.S. government representatives at multiple levels
  • Oversee the Site O&M support contractor, construction contractor, and/or A/E during project execution to ensure that customer requirements are accomplished on time, to the specified quality, and within budget
  • Coordinate resource allocation and maintain document control
  • Develop and deliver construction and O&M cost estimates
  • Maintain and report on project management and O&M data
  • Analyze and take the initiative to improve on organizational processes
  • Verify proper maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems 

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities related engineering or architectural field with 10 + years of relevant experience in IC, DOD, or Commercial Sector in the last 12 years.
    • Note: Professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with facility operations/maintenance activities and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with project, facilities management, and/or construction estimating.
  • Demonstrated track record of adhering to tight schedules with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  •  Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, schedules, and adhering to control gates.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local building and safety codes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with facility electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Experience with MS Project or equivalent scheduling tool
  • Experience in schedule analysis
  • Project Management Institutes’ PMP or equivalent project management certification
