Description

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the U.S. Marine Corps PMAAA ACV-30 30mm program at Camp Pendleton and 29 Palms in California. This position is a weapons specialist providing organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance support of the MK44S weapon system. This is a time-sensitive role with the need to find solutions both individually and as part of a team in order to meet deliverable schedules with specific deadlines.

Job duties include:

  • System testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance during test and live fire operations
  • Writing reports, tracking assets, coordinating shipments, providing on-site training, and briefing customers on status
  • Being responsible for compliance and understanding of the U.S. Marine Corps policies and procedures for proper maintenance and support of the 30mm weapon system
  • Document processes and provide expertise feedback for customer
  • Maintain schedules, track inspections, provide data on part usage and provide status reports of weapons maintenance, and trend analysis

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree in related discipline and 9 of related experience or high school equivalent and 11 years related experience and related advanced certification
  • Experience using and providing measurements with precision measuring tools
  • Able to read and understand technical and source data from manufacturer
  • Intermediate skill set with Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time

DESIRED

  • Military background in Weapons Maintenance and/or Ordnance is highly preferred
  • U.S. Marine Corps 6500 or 2100 Series MOS

Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
