SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician III to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN.

This position oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.  Assesses project and technical issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. This position is time-sensitive with the need to meet deliverable schedules both as an individual contributor and amongst the team. 

Job duties include:

• Supporting WXQN process for screening JCREW systems including inspection for damages or defects
• Performance of field-level maintenance to update hardware
• Documenting processes and providing expertise for customer feedback as well as other duties assigned
• Maintaining schedules, tracking progress, and providing status reports

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment management required
• Able to obtain a Secret clearance; Interim secret required to start
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Able to follow standard operating procedure to conduct testing and verification of equipment
• Able to obtain certification and safely operate NAVFAC Category 3 Non-Cab Operated S series Crane within 6 months of hire
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Employee will be responsible for obtaining Type 2 hard hat and steel-toe shoes/boots

 DESIRED:

• High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment management
