SAIC has an opportunity for an Army Aerial Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) Systems Engineer at Fort Belvoir, VA supporting the Aerial Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (A-ISR) mission with systems, applications and infrastructure components fielded to US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) units.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain responsibility for assessment and estimation of development, test, and deployment of products and systems in the Army AISR.  
  • Candidate should have knowledge on current Guardrail, ARL-S, Grey Eagle, Air Vigilance, AIMES and ARTIMIS capabilities and technology. 
  • Work closely with customers, senior leadership within programs, and other systems engineers and development engineers to comprehend customer objectives and requirements and develop solutions from the conceptual stage through delivery and field deployment.
  • Comprehend customer objectives, CONOPS, and requirements and translate those requirements into an executable development plan. 
  • This position is primarily responsible for overseeing system implementation and ensuring customer requirements are met in a technical project management role.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of experience with systems engineering and product development in the information processing and dissemination systems

Required Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain a CI Poly. 

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Army Global Aerial ISR/Intel Architecture and Process, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED).
  • Experience with the development of systems of systems architectures
  • Experience with the development and implementation of information systems to meet functional and non–functional requirements
  • Experience with all phases of systems and product development life cycles
  • Knowledge on one or more of the following Army AISR Systems- Guardrail, ARL-S, Grey Eagle, Air Vigilance, AIMES, ARTIMIS, HADES and their capabilities and technology

Desired Skills:

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills for working with senior leadership and external customers
  • Familiarity with Doctrine, Organization, Training, materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilitates and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) process
  • Understanding of the Army acquisition process
  • Understanding of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS)
  • understanding of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE- DoD Budget)
