SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division is seeking an Application Developer who will support the existing business operations technical systems as well as enrich current capabilities to aggregate date using Redshift, RDS, and AWS workflows. The developer will create a repository to aggregate and consolidate information such as Internal Use Software (IUS); provide enterprise capabilities to collect and report business information; and utilize applications and sites to provide a data feed service to multiple enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Five (5) years or more of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following application development activities:
    • Utilizing Java development with the ability to work at all tiers of architecture such as Web UI, Business Logic, and Database layer
    • Creating web applications using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript UI frameworks such as React.js, Angular5+, Vue.js
    • Using relational database with tools such as Oracle or MySQL and PostgreSQL/Aurora
    • Navigating 508 requirements
    • Managing and supporting Amazon Web Services such as AWS Relational Database (RDS), Cloudwatch, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway
    • Integrating with various applications using web services
    • Working in an Agile environment and incorporating DevOps practices such as spring planning, continuous integration, testing, deployment and delivery of minimum value increments
    • Using Linux shell scripting
• Desired:
  • Experience with security requirements to include providing strong data protection
  • Requesting application or server certifications and updating Amazon Machine Instance (AMIs)
  • Utilizing DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, CruiseControl, Gradle, NPM, Artifactory, and Confluence
  • Developing in Java 1.8+
  • Utilizing JavaScript unit testing tools such as Jest
  • Integrating software with LDAP, PKI, and STS services
