SAIC is looking for a cleared Senior Software Engineer, to support a fast paced, dynamic customer within the Program Executive Office, Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and intelligence (PEO C4I) Front Office Technical Director Shop. This position is in San Diego, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This position will provide support in evaluating and improving PEO C4I software development maturation through adoption of industry best practices including agile software development, use of Dev(Sec)Ops principles and practices, improved developer support and adoption of common digital platforms and services such as those provided by PEO C4I.  The successful candidate in this position will demonstrate an aptitude for systems thinking, problem solving and attention to detail. As part of the team, you will be required to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors; coordinate and facilitate engagements, manage action plans, engage in solution engineering, draft recommendations, and prepare briefing support at the working level and with senior leadership.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, and nine (9) years or more experience.
• Expertise in software development with experience in full stack software development and developing in and/or supporting systems with large code bases.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, and professional software development environments utilizing revision control (e.g. git), continuous integration, test automation (UI, integration, functional acceptance, and unit testing), and continuous delivery and deployment methodologies.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivering production user facing software products by leveraging Agile practices.
• Familiar with the access and handling of classified and certain controlled unclassified information (CUI).
• Understanding of PEO C4I /NAVWAR organization structure, programs of records and mission focus.
• Basic familiarity of PoR, DOD, U.S. Navy acquisition documents.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Must possess SECRET with with eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.

 DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification. 
• Skilled in technical specifications and documentation.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Top Secret Clearance.
