SAIC is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to provide operational support to multiple programs and DoD/IC customers within our National Security & Space Sector in Colorado Springs, CO.  This FSO will provide day-to-day program security support to various programs in the Colorado Springs area.  The FSO must be knowledgeable with 32 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 117 (NISPOM) and have experience supporting the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA). Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to; Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical/Technical Security, Classification Management, and Program Security.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting self-inspections, government inspections, and security audits
• Managing and maintaining security databases - SIMS/NISS/DISS/NBIS
• Processing security clearances, visit certs, and CAC requests
• Ensuring proper handling of classified materials to include COMSEC materials
• Preparing and conducting security briefings/debriefings and special topics briefings
• Reviewing documents for proper classification markings
• Maintaining personnel files, security records, and general clerical duties
• Implementing security policies and directives to ensure facility compliance
• Communicating with customers, program managers, and subcontract
• Providing security support to multiple agencies, employees, cleared, and uncleared industry partners

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

• Must have 6+ years of experience as an AFSO/FSO and a Bachelors’ degree, or 10+ years of AFSO/FSO experience in leu of a degree
• Must have a current and active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
• Must have experience with DoD, IC and DCSA directives and policies
• Must have experience managing FCLs with classified holdings, open storage, and restricted areas
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously while multiple tasking in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Must display strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
• Must have the ability to travel as needed

Target salary range: $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
