Introduction  

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst Senior to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.  

 SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.  

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

 

On the DCSA One IT Contract, the Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst Senior will involve the development and implementation of polices, processes, and actions that track and provide overall software license management to support DCSA’s Software Asset Management activities across the enterprise.

  • Engage with stakeholders and build consensus on project success criteria.
  • Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
  • Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with vendors and DCSA to obtain identified savings.
  • Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
  • Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries.
  • Enter and maintain information in a database format (ServiceNow)to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
  • Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

It is required that the Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst Senior have the following qualifications:

BA/BS with 5 to 8 years of experience, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree

  • Secret
  • 5 years of Software Asset Management experience
  • Must have experience working with ServiceNow platform 

 

Desired Qualifications 

o   MA/MS with 3 to 5 years of experience


Target salary range: $105,001 - $115,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
