SAIC is seeking talented Electrical Engineers to support a longtime partner to the U.S. Navy’s Undersea Warfare technical community.  We are a large prime contractor supporting Undersea Warfare clients in the Newport, RI and Middletown, RI areas. 

Our history of providing the highest quality technical support to these programs has resulted in the recent award of numerous new contracts that include:

• Development/production of US Navy torpedo testing equipment
• Building MK 48 torpedo after body tail cones and fuel tanks
• Operating the Propulsion Test Facility for torpedo test
• Designing and modernizing anti-torpedo defense systems
• Digital Engineering across the design and sustainment lifecycle, powered by AI/VR
• Providing hardware and software engineering design support for tactical systems and electronic warfare systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Ability to obtain US DoD Secret Security Clearance and willingness to obtain higher level clearance.
• Experience or familiarity with some of the following:
  • PCB design experience with design tool such as Cadence OrCAD PCB Designer, Altium, or Eagle.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems (microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, etc).
  • Experience with modeling an analysis techniques.
  • Experience with instrumentation design and data collection.
  • Experience with debugging circuits.
  • FPGA experience.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans for electronic subsystems.
