SAIC is seeking an experienced Specialty Integration Engineer (SIE) to support the US Space Force's National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC) program office in Washington D.C.

Job Summary The SIE shall assess, identify, and acquire Foreign Material across all Domains (e.g., Cyber, Air, Sea) in support of all Space Force Field Commands and the National Space Test & Training Complex (NSTTC).  The SIE shall interact and coordinate with the Intelligence Communities across the U.S. and Department of Defense.  In addition, the SIE will establish partnerships and relationships to enable the acquisition, testing, and disposition of foreign material and provide strategic advice to the Headquarters, Space Force Test & Evaluation Office (SF/TE) leadership staff

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned)

  • Initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
  • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to test range program and staff
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience/Skills Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant DoD work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a special access program and/or secret compartmental information environment within the last three years
  • 5+ years’ experience in intelligence
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to be innovative and creative and capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
  • Ability to work autonomously and interface easily with team members and senior leadership
  • General knowledge of the Department of Defense Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE) and policy, procedures, and schedules for developing Program Objectives Memoranda (POM), Budget Estimate Submissions (BES) and Financial Plans in support of major acquisition and test planning
  • General knowledge of Pentagon staffing processes and protocols (highly desirable)

  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Able to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmentalized Information and Special Access Program security clearances
