Description

SAIC is hiring for a Policy Analyst to support the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Policy and Strategy Division (AF/A10P). Work will be performed in the Arlington, VA area (Pentagon).

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and/or administrative support focused on working groups/forums associated with governance of the AF nuclear enterprise
  • Maintain a battle rhythm of calendars, dates, and locations of AF nuclear enterprise forums
  • Arrange for logistical support at forum locations
  • Provide support to develop agendas, meeting communications and read-ahead briefings for senior leader
  • Conduct post event assessments to evaluate success and determine how future events could be improved. The assessments shall include providing lessons learned, evaluation reporting, recommendations, and After-Action Reports

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and six (6) or more years of related experience 

Required Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI required to maintain employment
  • US citizenship required

 Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work across the Air Staff and throughout multiple organizations of the Department of Defense
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Ability to manage and successfully accomplish multiple projects simultaneously 

 Desired Skills: 

  • Knowledge of the organization and functions of the Department of Defense 
  • Background and knowledge in deterrence theory, nuclear strategy, arms control, geopolitics, and key military challenges facing the United States

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
