SAIC is seeking a qualified senior level Integration Project Manager to support the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Integration Project Manager

With minimal direction, lead project planning, scheduling, integration, monitoring, and reporting activities.  Facilitate needs assessment and the development of recommended solutions to be used for planning, scheduling, and tracking integrations through the system integration milestones.  Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria. Develop project control and reporting procedures. Track and report project issues. Monitor progress and key milestones. Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues. Undertake status review meetings among project team members and stakeholders. Ensure adherence to quality management standards and procedures. Manage changes in operational plan. Analyze, track, and report project metrics. Identify and mitigate risks and advise senior management about project management capability and risks. Create communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.  Adhere to VIP and program processes and procedures. Possess good oral and written communication skills.

Specifics duties:

  • Manages multiple concurrent efforts through the integration lifecycle of requirements identification, initial configuration, software quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and production release.
  • Develops project management documents to include but not limited to meeting agendas, meeting minutes, integration schedules, risk and issue management plans, status reports, and integration specific position papers and presentations.
  • Coordinates identification, documentation, and approval of integration requirements through analysis of client needs.
  • Coordinates methodology, processes and standards to be applied by the entire integration team and VA enterprise support teams.
  • Applies the applicable standards (approved integration patterns, statutory codes and industry standards) as needed.
  • Plan schedules, monitor, and report on activities and dependencies related to the project, including integration/development vendor monitoring.
  • Reviews development team deliverables which include interface control document, test plans, schedules, and risk and issue plans.
  • Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements.
  • Integrate and use project management methodologies.
  • Perform schedule development, maintenance, and revision.
  • Assist in the training of the project team on application of the procedures.
  • Coach and advise team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and to resolve technical/operational issues.
  • Implement continuous process improvement.
  • Use Rational tools for Change, Configuration, Requirements and Test Case management.

Qualifications

Years Experience:

  • 6 years of information technology project management or relevant field. 4 years experience with access management security services which include authentication, authorization, provisioning, and workflow.

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience managing/administering Department of Veterans Affairs programs; MS project experience, MS Office, Rational tools experience, and SharePoint experience. 

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance based on Department of Veteran Affairs regulations.

Target salary range: $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
