JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC has an opening for an IT/IM Systems Analyst who possesses a working knowledge of the principles of information and knowledge the principles of information, data, records and knowledge management.  Addresses the tactical and strategic information and data management needs in support of both mission and business processes.  Supports the cradle-to-grave management of information and data in accordance with records management principles.

Specific duties include:

• Analyze internal and external IT/IM customer needs.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems
• Review system/application capabilities
• Analyze and/or recommend commercially available software.
• Develop strategic and planning documents.
• Train staff and users who work with computer systems and applications
• Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to the user environment
• Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards
• Serve as a project leader for systems projects
• Manage user accounts on systems/applications
• Manage data/information structure within systems/applications
• Collect data in response to legal and FOIA requests
• May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
• Records Management knowledge with a focus on electronic records
• Support electronic collaboration capabilities, configuration and user support
• SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA and Open Text
• Information Security: Access management and control
• IT applications/Web based applications: user administration, configuration 
• MultiFactor Authentication - User support, the system admins handle the technical portion
• Process Mapping
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
• May serve as a team or task lead
• Participates in special projects as required.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: N/A KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. IMPACT: Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. LIASON: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and five (5) years of more experience

·    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

·    Working knowledge of access management principles

·    Knowledge or willingness to learn Rationale DOORS Next Generation: User Administration, application configuration

•    Knowledge or willingness to learn CAMEO: user administration, application configuration

•    Knowledge of Content Server/Open Text: User administration, application configuration

Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), OR CCNA-Security. CompTIA Security+ CE is the preferred certification

Clearance:

• Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI poly

 

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
