Description

SAIC is seeking a Project Officer to join our team at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan work to be accomplished by team, sets and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • Develop project plans and make key technical decisions relating to system and product development/integrated and product assurance and test and production and fielding evaluation.
  • Provide specific focus on Total Ownership Cost and Acquisition Reform.
  • Serves as a technical advisor for an ACAT I, II, or III program involving ammunition; specifically, Tank Training munitions M865A1 120mm Target Practice, Cone Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (TPCSDS-T) Cartridge & M1002 Target Practice, Multi-Purpose with Tracer (TPMP-T) Cartridge.
  • Providing technical advice regarding system and product development/integration, product assurance, test and production, and fielding activities; and
  • Leading or managing a team performing life cycle logistics activities such as development engineering, quality assurance and testing, initial production, material release, fielding, logistics, maintenance and sustainment.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and ten (10) years or more related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience; four (4) years or experience considered in lieu of degree. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience developing briefings and information reports
  • Proven track record of developing and supporting implementation of cost savings initiatives
  • Demonstrated USG/Military Project Management & Acquisition experience
  • Experience participating in in the development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans

Clearance:

A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance.
