SAIC is looking for a Logistics Management Specialist in Crane, IN in support of SEA-06 Naval Special Warfare (PMS340 NSW).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The person in this position will serve as a Logistician within the Naval Weapons Branch (JXNR) and provide support for SEA-06 Naval Special Warfare (PMS340 NSW) logistics requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, distribute, and respond to emails and phone calls from the fleet requiring assistance concerning small arms.
- Work with Engineers and Logisticians to formulate responses to help desk cases.
- Provide Operational Material and Supplies (OM&S) support for inventory reconciliation, consolidation, disposal, and audit findings.
- Provide audit support for small arms weapon systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.
- Draft required documentation for shipping, issuing, or moving materials from the supply system.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy.
- Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures for efficiency.
- Provide support for model-based product support (MBPS).
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor' Degree and 6 years of experience; master’s degree and 4 years of experience. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must have operational experience of Navy Earned Enterprise System (N-ERP).
- Intermediate to advanced capabilities with the Microsoft Office suite of programs such as Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have strong computer skills.
- Must express strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work in a diverse environment, ability to take initiative without direct oversight, and the ability to learn new software, systems, and processes.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance however not needed to start. SAIC to sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be a US Citizen.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of and or operational experience of the following systems and processes is desired but not required: Reliability Centered Maintenance program, Naval Logistics Technical Data Repository (NAVLOGTD), Planned Maintenance System Management Information System (PMSMIS), Navy Maintenance Philosophy, Federal Logistic Information System Web Search (WebFlis), and DoN Supply Chain Materiel Management Procedures.
