SAIC is seeking a P3D Scenario Development and Testing Specialist for a hybrid-remote role out of San Antonio, TX.  (Candidate needs to be local to Randolph AFB for weekly onsite requirements)

 

  • The P3D Scenario Development and Testing Specialist, in collaboration with the Scenario Development and Testing team, is responsible for converting storyboard profiles into the P3D SimDirector system for simulation purposes.
  • This role involves various steps, including formatting coordinates, creating trigger areas, assigning behaviors, testing scenarios, implementing changes, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the simulations.
  • The specialist must possess computer familiarity, simulation experience, and a strong understanding of the technical aspects involved in creating and testing scenarios.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and familiarity with basic software systems.
  • Experience with simulations or related fields, demonstrating a solid understanding of simulation mechanics.

  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate conversion and implementation of profiles.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, SAIC SMEs, and IPs.
  • Ability to adapt to feedback and iterate on scenarios to meet evolving requirements.
  • Problem-solving aptitude to identify and resolve issues encountered during testing and development.
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Ability to develop and optimize simulation systems, tools, or plugins.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices.

  • Familiarity with game development principles, mechanics, and best practices.
  • Understanding of game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing gameplay features and mechanics.
  • Knowledge of game design concepts, including level design, player progression, and user experience.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Lua.
  • Experience with scripting in the context of game development or simulations.
  • Ability to write and modify scripts to enhance simulation functionality and interactivity.
  • Understanding of scripting frameworks and libraries commonly used in game development.
  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
