SAIC is seeking a candidate ford Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer to support our USAF Cloud One team. The Common Computing Environment (CCE) program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). CCE is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data that will serve the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Army (USA). The CCE incorporates the capabilities of commercial cloud and Managed Service Providers (MSP) residing in Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). The CCE facilitates the USAF and USA’s efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF and USA's IT operations.  This position will be hybrid remote.  Locations of work will be either Hanscom Air Force Base (Boston, MA), Gunter Air Force Base (Montgomery, AL) or Charleston, SC.

Job Duties:

  • Devise and plan platform strategy to support both internal and external stakeholders for a managed service project.
  • Initiate and prioritize projects directly supporting platform strategy and roadmap while translating projects to development team.
  • Build, train, manage and mentor a development team to configure and deploy a comprehensive ServiceNow platform.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on platform operations, configuration, and development to include 3rd party integration.
  • Lead a team of ServiceNow Product Owners for all platform operations.
  • Support test, demonstration, and release management for all platform operations: CSM, ITBM & ITOM suite applications.
  • Engage with customer business owners to bring forward business value to platform initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement within your own development team and matrixed project teams while maintaining or improving key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assess and identify training and skill-development opportunities to ensure the ServiceNow development team stays current with platform releases and industry standards.

Qualifications

Required Clearance:

  • Interim secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
  • US citizenship required

Required Certifications:

  • Security + or higher certification
  • ServiceNow certification

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with variety of coding languages similar or equal to: HTML, AJAX, CSS, JSON or XML
  • Ability to interpret platform and integrating architectures
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices

Desired Qualifications:

  • SAFe certification
  • Previous experience with BMC Remedy or Helix
  • Experience supporting software migration efforts
