SAIC is seeking experienced professionals to provide program management, engineering, analysis, integration and test, and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. 

SAIC has an opening for an On-Site, Satellite Factory Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to an expanding Government customer. The focus of this position is on Assembly, Integration, and Test, but will also support developmental activities such as design reviews to ensure the proper integration of hardware, software, and firmware (FPGA) technologies. The position provides Government customer insight at a contractor facility during design, manufacture, integration, test, and operations. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Work in an interactive team environment with Government customer leads, developers, and other subject matter experts on a broad spectrum of technologies 
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve technical and programmatic issues 
  • Facilitate communications between Customer Program Office and the contractor team, and provide written daily and weekly status reports to the Customer Program Office 
  • Review, assess, and evaluate contractor assembly and integration plans and procedures including direct access to the contractor’s collaborative and automated systems to status and provide insight to work in progress. A working knowledge of Python programming language, as used in an automated test environment, is desired 
  • Perform engineering assessment on test plans, procedures, and reports. Participate in data reviews of test results, as needed, to understand the quality of the system design performance and verification of requirements. 
  • Assist in ensuring compliance to interfaces and standards. 
  • Experience with integrated ground and satellite design and operations is desirable
  • 24/7 support, as mission dictates 



Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly 
  • Bachelor of Engineering or related technical degree and 14 years of experience or Master’s degree in engineering or related technical fields with 12 years of experience 
  • Experience with space system design, integration, assembly, and test operations 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills 

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
