Description

SAIC is seeking a computer and systems engineer to support a US Air Force customer modeling and simulation mission.  (This is a hybrid-remote position; candidates must be local to Wright Patterson AFB / Dayton, OH for weekly onsite requirements)

Job Description:

  • Specific to the F-16 Integrated Product Teams (IPT), support includes studies and analyses; requirements definition and documentation; systems engineering; configuration and data management; program management; program control; and integrated logistics support.
  • Technologies to be addressed include but are not limited to: training devices; simulated threat environments; visual simulation systems; sensor simulations systems; instructional systems; interoperability; aerodynamic simulation; brief/de-brief systems; avionics simulation; weapons simulations; and constructive simulations.
  • Specific tasks include:
    • Reviewing design documentation; providing systems engineering support for F-16 simulator activities
    • Providing technical inputs for Program Protection Planning and Cybersecurity
    • Providing technical evaluations for simulator contractor proposals including advising source selection teams
    • Supporting requests for proposals development; coordinating design issues with the Government and simulator contractor program teams
    • Conducting simulator tests
    • Supporting simulator installation and checkout
    • Documenting test results and dispositioning discrepancies
    • Supporting IPT members with technical input
    • Supporting internal Government program team tasks as required (briefings, inspections, meetings, etc)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and nine (9) or Masters and seven (7) years experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Testing and reporting experience.
  • Comfortable presenting findings and reports to senior level customer leadership.
  • The ability to lead a small team of remote workers
  • The ability to plan and manage a budget to include labor hours and travel expenditures.
  • Must be a US Citizen, actively possess Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance.
