SAIC has an immediate opening on a prime program that directly supports national security  We are seeking a highly motivated and technically oriented Systems Engineer to support a critical customer activity.  The position requires the ability to learn about technology quickly, communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and work tactfully and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to meet mission outcomes.  The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is required.  

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly
• Bachelor's Degree or experience can be substituted for the degree
• Ability to understand and communicate technical and complex information and convey in terms that are applicable and understandable to technical and non-technical personnel
• Ability to think and execute strategically to identify cross-cutting enablement opportunities traceable to mission needs
• Experience with technical program management and translating programmatic and technical ideas into actions
• Technical breadth with expertise, or the curiosity to quickly learn, about current and emerging telecommunications technologies (e.g. wireless and mobile technologies)
• Demonstrated exceptional performance working cross-cutting business areas across technical organizations
• Exceptional interpersonal skills working sensitive topics and influencing outcomes
• Experience providing support to reviews and technical exchange meetings and making recommendations on future courses of action
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with senior customer managers and partners
• Exceptional organizational skills and initiative to follow-through on actions and document important information and decisions
• Ability to work collaboratively across the customer’s team to ensure de-confliction across various frameworks
• Regular travel within the US (normally one trip per month for 2-3 days) to support technical and programmatic meetings

 Desired

• Demonstrated ability and success working atypical organizational relationships
• Ability to review designs, testing approaches, etc and provide recommendations to improve them
• Direct experience, or practical working knowledge, of commercial best practices for program management, design, development, production and test, especially the practical application of lean and agile methods
