Description

SAIC is seeking a SW Engineer to make a difference supporting important applications for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center on the NASA EAST Program. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform website and application development, testing, and O&M support on MSFC applications to meet requirements accomplished through close collaboration with MSFC and its customers to ensure IT applications and solutions meet customer as well as MSFC expectations for effectiveness and alignment with MSFC strategic directions.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
  • Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
  • Ensures software standards are met. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content.

Qualifications

Required Education: 

  • Bachelors and 0 years related experience.
  • Years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. 

 

Clearance: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Relevant NASA experience
  • Experience in application development and O&M activities and/or application middleware support
  • Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
