We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer (Pilot) to support our team providing services to the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) contract.  This is an onsite position, located in Del Rio, Texas.

In this role, you will be responsible for continuous testing and integration of the flight management software that facilitates instructor and student pilot operation of the T-1 Mid-tier Training Device (MTD).  This is a non-flying position that does not require a medical clearance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations to define and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new and existing software applications
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software releases are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards
  • Utilize configuration management tools such as Microsoft's Intune to manage device configuration, application deployment, and updates
  • Communicate effectively with distributed teams to ensure that testing activities are coordinated and aligned with project goals
  • Create and maintain documentation related to configuration management processes and procedures, such as CCB
  • Monitor systems and identify issues related to configuration management, and collaborate with the appropriate teams to resolve them
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools related to configuration management and recommend improvements to existing processes
  • Ensure compliance with DISA security and DOD regulatory requirements related to configuration management

Qualifications

 Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) or Masters and sixteen (16) years or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft or simulator testing with a focus on quality assurance
  • Experience with configuration management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating with teams across multiple geographic locations
  • Multi-Engine and Instrument Flight Rating
  • Must be a US Citizen

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military Test Pilot School
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • DOD/Veteran Background
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Passion for gaming/simulation
