SAIC is currently seeking to hire a Program Manager – Army Game Studio to join the team located in Huntsville, Alabama. Please note, this is a fully remote position with some minimal travel required.

The select candidate for this position will become a member of the SAIC Program Management team, responsible for the development and delivery of numerous Army Educational, Entertainment and Training products for the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Army Game Studio (AGS).

As a member of the AGS SAIC Program Management team you will oversee development efforts using latest generation commercial video game engine technology and enjoy daily interactions with an enthusiastic, highly creating, development team.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects ensuring on time delivery, within budget, and meeting all performance and quality requirements
  • Manage risks and issues. Provide strategic guidance to project managers and project teams
  • Monitor, track, and report contract and performance metrics
  • Oversee coordination, tracking, and submission of program deliverables
  • Meet regularly with government management, government technical leadership, and other government contractors to ensure a clear understanding of customer needs and challenges
  • The ideal candidate will bring extensive project management experience working with hardware and software development teams on the implementation of process improvements

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors with fifteen (15) years or more related experience; four (4) years experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required. 

Required Skills:

  • Production, Supply Chain, Logistics management experience
  • Hardware Engineering and Process experience.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess leadership and management skills that require very little feedback from supervisors.
  • Self-motivated; able to operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills that produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Agile hardware and software development environments.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects / programs.
  • Experience managing military training or commercial video game development efforts using Epic Unreal Engine 4 (UE4), Unity 3 or Bohemia Interactive Virtual Battle Space is preferred.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Integrating hardware and software in a training device for a government customer.
  • Design, development and delivery of integrated hardware/software product for military pilot training. 
  • Integrating high resolution mixed reality hardware. 
  • Established relationships with commercial game engine providers and VR/AR/MR hardware providers.

Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
