SAIC’s Horizon 2 Program seeking multiple mid-career Sr. Model Based Systems Engineers (MBSE), in El Segundo, CA, to join our program. These positions are primarily located on site at our El Segundo campus, but we are willing to consider remote work. This position requires a Secret DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS (polygraph) and SAP access.

Our MBSE’s will contribute to the architectures for a variety of integrated hardware & software subsystems for space systems. This role includes supporting the translation of customer requirements and other supporting information into system/component descriptions within a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) environment.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

  • Regularly interface with program management, engineering staff, and external customers to provide strong architectural solutions, to generate and document system level requirements, structure, behavior, and parametric; enable performance assessments; and participate in system level verification/data review activities
  • Participate in the creation and management of changes to system or subsystem models, including impact assessments and the support program testing and/or evaluation/validation and ensure results are captured in the modeling environment
  • Support trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, system design assessments, and Operations Analysis work such as mission analysis and CONOPS development
  • Support and prepare the presentation of system and subsystem concepts, architectures, designs, and performance assessments 

Qualifications

This is you:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years of experience with a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • You must possess an Active Secret clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination 
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Cameo Enterprise Architect, Sparx Enterprise Architect, DOORS/DOORS Next Generation, and/or Phoenix Integration ModelCenter
  • Demonstrated experience with one of the following: UPDM, UAF, DoDAF or SysML 
  • Experience with MBSE for System of Systems and familiarity with various analytical and decisions aid tools (e.g. MatLab, STK, etc.)

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) and/or Current SCI/SAP access
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification and/or OMG Certified System Modeling Professional (OSCMP) certification 

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
