Description

A Facilities Manager maintains and oversees a company’s grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers and vendors, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates.

Plans and manages all aspects of the facilities function which may include but is not limited to maintenance, equipment, machinery, construction, building space allocation and layout, office services, leased properties and furnishings, and communication services. Plans, budgets and schedules facilities modifications and moves. Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance with established specifications and to comply with company and/or government regulations.

Qualifications

  • An active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related facilities technical discipline with 10 years of related facilities work experience. Relevant years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Solid understanding, familiarity and mastering of facility systems to include electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

               ·   Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities; scheduling routine inspections and maintenance repairs as needed through work orders plus dealing with emergency situation as they arise.

  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaborating with corporate facilities and customer on budgeting for facility’s needs.
  • Coordinating with building owners (landlord) on modification to the facility or work relating to systems that effect the entire building.
  • Must work well in a team or as individual contributor, understanding impact on mission.
  • Significant customer interface requires personality for respectful and cooperative interactions.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a general commitment to excellence, a dedication to producing quality work results, and an ability to learn and apply new skills.

Candidate must be committed to customer service, well organized, able to plan and prioritize assignments, and able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
