SAIC is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist in Arlington, VA to support the Army National Guard and the broader military intelligence community on the Military Intelligence Services Support (MISS) Contract.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the development, planning, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing effective operations of the Personnel Security Program for the Army National Guard.
• Determine the employment suitability of applicants who require a security clearance.
• Prepare reports and recommend whether security clearances should be granted, suspended, revoked, or denied.
• Document processes and ensure the protection of sensitive information.
• Conduct security briefings.
• Provide guidance and assist in resolving security issues.
• Possess oral and written communication skills to conduct engagements with senior leadership.
• Will engage directly with ARNG G-2 Branch Chiefs, Team SAIC (including sub-contractors), and other ARNG stakeholders, as required.
• Will assist ARNG G-2 and Team SAIC (including sub-contractors) with requesting, tracking, and processing personnel security actions, including visit requests through JPAS or DISS, CAC requests through TASS, SCI indoctrinations, courier cards, etc.
• Maintain the security and privacy of different types of Controlled Unclassified and classified information.
• Travel: up to 10%

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and nine (9) years or more of related experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.

Required Security Clearance:

• Active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI

Required Skills:

• Have working knowledge and understanding of Department of Army Regulation 380-67: “Personnel Security Program” and Department of Defense Manual 5200.02: “Procedures for the DoD Personnel Security Program (PSP)”.  
• Knowledge of Intelligence Security Directive 704: “Personnel Security Standards and Procedures Governing Eligibility for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Other Controlled Access Program Information”
• Have completed CDSE/STEPP training in Introduction to Personnel Security, JPAS/DISS, The Federal Investigative Standards, Adverse Information Reporting, Identifying and Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information.
