Description
SAIC is seeking a Cyber Engineer/Architect to join our energized team to support the Department of Air Force’s (DAF) mission to establish and maintain the Advanced Battle Management System’s (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) through the ABMS Consortium’s Deployable DI (DDI) Product Development Team (PDT). ABMS is the Air Force’s latest effort to create a next-generation command and control (C2) system and is a top modernization priority for the DAF. ABMS will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense. The broader effort known as the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) is focused on rapid integration of capabilities and modernizing the decision-making processes for combat operations.
To accomplish the DAF’s mission, the government in partnership with the ABMS Consortium will develop a deployable digital infrastructure that connects the DAF’s Lead Wing in support of Agile Combat Operations that enables sharing of information across multiple echelons and multi-domains and provide decision superiority to tactical, operational and strategic customers. The DDI PDT is comprised of industry leaders in systems engineering, digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, cybersecurity, integration & test and operations and sustainment working together in a collaborative environment to delivery critical capabilities to our warfighters.
The Cyber Engineer/Architect will work within the DDI Cyber product team to perform the following:
Facilitate technical information exchange on cybersecurity functions in support of consortium objectives to provide on-demand access to computing resources.
Exhibit hands-on technology configuration and engineering capabilities through past engagements with technical teams, adeptly identifying solutions for customers and providing leadership to technical teams.
Decompose and allocate requirements to system functions to design, develop, and deploy a capability of monitoring and maintaining cybersecurity applications.
Coordinate with other DDI PDTs to develop and maintain digital system architecture, models, and architecture standards of the ABMS using Agile development processes.
Conduct trade studies and technology roadmap development as directed by the Cyber Product Team Lead.
