Description
Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Database Engr Principal to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Job Description:
Provides engineering support to the development of data interfaces for the transfer of data between NISS and other existing systems. Defines data management aspects of the solution to include the approach, architecture, analysis, technologies, design, development, and execution. Plans and executes data extractions, transformation and loading, data warehousing, data analysis, design of complex queries, and data visualization activities. Identifies capabilities required to extract data and direct flow, as well as identifies data destinations and staging locations. Applies frequent scripting language and builds scalable and reliable data pipelines to support data ingestions (batch / streaming) and transformation from multiple data sources. Supports data normalization and labeling of data. Requests prioritization of data sets through collaboration with the program cloud services and data team. Collects and tracks requirements tied to specific data sets and determines capacity requirements for data sets. Maintains data dictionaries for each data set. Coordinates and manages metadata/tagging of resources for enterprise discovery and sharing and provides updates to the program data management portal. Develops Operational Requirements documents and use cases. Creates low-level design artifacts, including architecture diagrams and mappings. Must have several years of experience with MySQL and preferred to have INNODB and MYISAM database experience. The team is executing agile software development using JIRA and confluence for tracking.

Qualifications:
· BA/BS with 9 years of experience
· Recent MySQL and Linux experience
· Active DOD Secret clearance
· Ability to obtain IAT II certification
