SAIC’s Business Enablement represents the full depth and breadth of the acquisition value chain – from the sell side (customer engagement and strategy development) to the buy side (program execution, strategic alliances, supply chain management and subcontractor development).  We are the full acquisition organization that supports our external and internal customer mission. Our dynamic team of acquisition professionals support key business areas and strategy for SAIC’s Growth Technology Accelerants (GTA) as well as core business initiatives. GTAs include Secure Cloud, Enterprise IT and Systems Integration & Delivery. Core business includes Managed Services, IT Modernization & Technical Services, Engineering Services and As a Service offerings.

This position is 100% remote nationwide. Candidates local to San Diego, CA, strongly preferred. 

SAIC has an opening for a Business Enablement Business Unit leader to support its Naval business area. This position will support bid strategy and contract execution across the customer base, focusing on initiatives that drive growth for the organization. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner within the business unit and across the enterprise, leading the business unit’s team of contracts and procurement professionals fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous process improvement, and performance excellence.

This position is fully remote.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams; foster collaboration between customer-facing Sector leadership, legal, program teams, business development, price-to-win, and other functional support.
  • Drive proposal and program execution strategy for GTAs as well as core business initiatives. This leader must have the business acumen and sufficient understanding of SAIC’s technical offerings to support strategy discussions for all efforts, and guide teams to successful outcomes leveraging different business models (managed services, subscriptions, NTDC, OTAs, commercial offerings, etc).
  • Utilize accurate and relevant information to aid in decision-making enterprise wide.
  • Identify and take ownership for executing solutions to complex problems.
  • Lead training and other initiatives as assigned.
  • Lead an integrated contracts and procurement team, identify training and development opportunities and manage staffing challenges in a remote environment.
  • Periodic travel to support business meetings/initiatives and visit customers.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • Fifteen  (15) years of related experience; or Master’s and thirteen (13) years of related experience
  • Extensive experience with CPSR Audit requirements, Price Analysis Techniques, Costpoint Purchasing System, Word Processing and Electronic Spreadsheets.
  • Experience in Supply Chain/Procurement/Purchasing. Background with total program lifecycle and subcontractor performance preferred.
  • General knowledge of Supply Chain Management practices as well as procurement systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have proficient understanding of the government acquisition process.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and Public Laws relating to subcontracting.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and independently with senior management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (CPCM/CFCM) preferred
  • Security clearance a plus
  • Local to San Diego, CA area
