Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer on the Horizon Program to give support to the US Space Force Program Executive Office for Battle Management Command, Control and Computers portfolio in El Segundo, CA.
Job responsibilities include:
- Supports review of Algorithm Description Documents and other related technical documentation, providing critical feedback and risk assessment to the Government program office and, or developer

Supports configuration management between the Government reference architecture and software developers

Supports development, review, and tracking of warfighter CONOPS and intended system use to ensure algorithmic design is meeting user needs

Provide technical and programmatic recommendations for Government Program Manager actions regarding algorithm development, testing, and delivery
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in a technical degree pursuit such as Math or Computer Science, and 12 years of experience (10 years w/Masters) in the following:
- As a Principal or Chief Engineer responsible for all technical aspects of a large, complex Battle Management, Command and Control systems
- In algorithm development and analysis of resource allocation, decision support, and assignment techniques
- With physics modeling and defense phenomenology
- Requires a security background investigation (T5 or SSBI and in Continuous Evaluation, if applicable) with the ability to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses
Preferred Qualifications
- Master or PhD degree in Math, or any of the following: Operations Research, theoretical Physics, (mathematical) Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and experience:
- In relevant, large defense software systems
- In large algorithmic software system architectures using techniques such as Joint Directors of Laboratories Fusion Model
- In large system engineering, integration and test including requirements and mission algorithm development
Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
