SAIC’s Business Enablement represents the full depth and breadth of the acquisition value chain – from the sell side (customer engagement and strategy development) to the buy side (program execution, strategic alliances, supply chain management and subcontractor development).  We are the full acquisition organization that supports our external and internal customer mission. Our dynamic team of acquisition professionals support key business areas and strategy for SAIC’s Growth Technology Accelerants (GTA) as well as core business initiatives.  GTAs include Secure Cloud, Enterprise IT and Systems Integration & Delivery.  Core business includes Engineering Services and IT & Technical Services. 

This position is 100% remote nationwide

Position Description:  SAIC is seeking an experienced and highly adaptable individual to join its our team as a Senior Contracts Analyst. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to key stakeholders across SAIC throughout the capture and proposal process for complex, high dollar value solicitations. This role requires extensive contracting knowledge of and experience in the federal government.  Efforts will support government contracting activities with contracts types including Cost Plus, T&M, and Firm Fixed Price 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Influencing and educating various internal and external partners on contracting strategies, marketplace dynamics and competitive strategies.
  • Sharing perspectives and insights to elevate team thinking and drive a balanced, holistic point of view, effectively weighing and communicating trade-off considerations
  • Developing relationships and strategies to optimize SAIC’s interests and mitigate business and financial risk. 
  • Reviewing and fully understanding the RFP and provide daily guidance to the Proposal Team.
  • Preparing compliant cost proposals/narratives.
  • Developing a negotiation position in coordination with capture team and engaging in negotiations. 
  • Regularly interacting with internal customers, management (at all levels), and members of functional management with regard to acquisition requirements and issue resolution.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, and minimum six (6) years experience. Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, and four (4) years experience. 
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Cost proposal experience is required
  • Thorough understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in contract administration
  • Full knowledge of industry practices
  • Expert knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, DFARS,TINA and CAS
  • Excellent negotiation, oral, and written communication skills are required.
  • Effective critical thinking skills and ability to assimilate. 
  • Experience in contract risk management and negotiation
  • Strong written correspondence skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex legal & contractual topics and communicate to internal (or external) collaborators with different backgrounds and disciplines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skill and ability to handle a fluctuating workload and multiple priorities
  • Deliver on commitments be reliable, highly organized and structured, risk sensitive, agile and creative.
