Description

The National Security Customer Group of SAIC is seeking an AV Program (Master Creston) to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois.  The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6). 

The successful candidate will provide their Master Creston expertise to the Video Conferencing (VTC) and Audiovisual team providing all facets of customer service including, designing, installing, programming, maintaining, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting of video conference and briefing support facilities.  

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Engineering, designing, programming, integrating existing, and install new AV/VTC technologies 
  • Performing all control system programming for audio visual systems  
  • Working with Design Engineer and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative to ensure a user-friendly operating environment for controlling audio/visual equipment 
  • Maintaining and updating the VTC architecture, to include a graphical representation
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation in accordance with configuration management processes 
  • Planning, performing and documenting preventative maintenance on equipment suggested by the manufacturer
  • Updating firmware to the approved/recommended versions as required
  • Providing utilization metrics for VTCs on a recurring and adhoc basis 

 

This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours.  However, employee may be required to provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have a Master Crestron certification 
  • Significant experience programming Crestron audiovisual and VTC presentation control systems in complex multi-security level environments. 
  • Ability to interpret customer touchpanel interface requirements and develop intelligent, intuitive, functional user interfaces 
  • Experience designing audiovisual and VTC presentation control systems in complex multi-security level environments. 
  • Understanding of electronic system architecture and design. 
  • Experience researching and writing excellent documentation and examples for technical personnel 
  • Technical writing and documentation skills. 
  • Configuration and change management experience working directly with/for a Government customer. 

 

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • ITIL Foundations (v3 or higher) certification 
  • An AV/VTC certification, such as: CTS, CTS-I, Creston DMC-4K, Extron AV Association

 

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
