SAIC has a fantastic opportunity for a Reliability & Maintainability Engineer to support the Sentinel program at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Using our expertise and understanding of existing and emerging technologies, we integrate the best components from our own portfolio and our partner ecosystem to deliver innovative, effective and efficient solutions that are critical to achieving our customers' missions. 

SAIC is seeking an experienced engineer to work in areas of reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) including overall system modeling to support the US Air Force utilizing knowledge of standards, principles, theories, and statistical techniques. Tasks include:

  • Support/Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) with reliability and maintainability
  • Assess and review reliability models
  • Perform reliability (MTBF, MTBCF, PoF, Ao, Am) analysis, maintainability and logistics (LRU, MTBM, MTTR, MDT) analysis, sparing analysis, and simulations which support military and industry standards
  • Recommend design or test methods and statistical analysis (AMSAA Planning Model and Reliability Growth Curves)
  • Strong knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
  • Support Data Collection Analysis and Corrective Action System (DCACAS)/FRACAS development
  • Compile and analyze performance reports and process statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables affecting RAM
  • Experience with modeling and analysis tools, such as ReliaSoft Suite Tools (xFMEA, BlockSim, XFRACAS, RCM++, and Weibull++), MADe, SPNP, Sharpe, SFRAT

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years of experience or Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline and at least 7 years of experience
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills and an ability to prepare and present briefings to senior program leaders
  • Must currently hold an Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP
  • OCMP Model User or Model Builder – Intermediate (OCSMP-I)
  • Proficient with DOORS and experience with some kind of SysML or UML software tool such as CAMEO Systems Modeler or IBM Rational Rhapsody
