 SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer Principal for the US Navy in Crane, IN.  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate has experience establishing Software Support Activity (SSAs) or has worked within SSA designing and supporting production software. The candidate will support the team lead for the Radio Frequency Blanking Unit (RFBU) SSA, which is anticipated to include 3 to 4 software engineers.   They will help with defining the production software processes to include, but not limited to, design, verification, configuration management, and quality control.

*The SSA assumes the role of providing post-deployment life cycle support for modifications or upgrades made to a system's software following the system's initial fielding.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience setting up government software support activities (SSA)
• Must be familiar with software development processes and associated tools such as, but not limited to, JIRA, Visual Studio, and GIT

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CLEARANCE:

• Bachelor’s and nine (9) or more years’ experience; Masters and seven (7) or more years’ experience.  Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.  Clearance process will be sponsored by SAIC.
• Must be a US Citizen.
