Description

SAIC is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Cloud Analyst, to serve as a member of a Vulnerability Assessment program. This position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

The hired individual will perform the following key roles and responsibilities:

  • Serve within a senior technical role by supporting the establishment and maintenance of the team’s cloud environment which provides an avenue to test various security assessment tools and techniques
  • Support the execution of periodic and on-demand Cloud-based vulnerability assessments where various cloud related system artifacts are analyze to determine the presence of vulnerabilities
  • Act as advisor to management and customers on technical research studies, to include technical aspects and features of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud-based technologies

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Bachelor's Degree and 14 years professional experience working in IC cloud environment, supporting cloud-based vulnerability assessments
    • Professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Current AWS Professional or Security Specialty certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Cloud technologies at the Administrator/Root access level
  • Required certification compliance: Current DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 IAT/IAM II certification
  • Current AWS Associate certification

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency using both the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot cloud and virtual systems as well as physical hardware and software systems
  • Working knowledge of AWS security services and features of services to provide a secure production environment and an understanding of security operations and risks
  • Knowledge of the AWS shared responsibility model and its application; security controls for workloads on AWS; logging and monitoring strategies; cloud security threat models; patch management and security automation; ways to enhance AWS security services with third-party
  • Understanding of specialized data classifications and AWS data protection mechanisms, data-encryption methods and AWS mechanisms to implement them, and secure internet protocols and AWS mechanisms to implement them
  • Possess at least 3 years of Linux and/or Windows System Administration knowledge
