SAIC is seeking a Data Science Architect to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a critical position on SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

The rapidly growing and changing nature of both the space and data science domains is driving the Government customer to fundamentally reimagine their ground architecture to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

As the Data Science Architect , you will provide subject matter expertise to help evaluate, define, and oversee changes needed for a data-centric architecture capable of supporting self-learning AI/ML algorithms for autonomous mission operations.

Job Responsibilities to include:

• Advise Government leadership and provide technical review and assessment of concepts, systems, technologies, designs, architectures, interfaces, and operation of space and ground systems.
• Analysis of alternatives to optimize technical, cost, and schedule performance and improve knowledge and understanding of system, technology, and architecture tradeoffs. 
• Provide technical and programmatic support through the entire project life cycle including concept development, system definition, acquisition planning, source selection, system design, development, integration and test, system delivery, and mission operations.
• Effectively work with development teams to track technical progress, identify blockers to progress, assess technical solutions, and ensure alignment with Government requirements and objectives. Identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities across efforts and programs to promote innovation and information sharing.
• Brief and report technical and programmatic assessments presenting analysis, results, conclusions, and recommendations. Brief Government customer staff and industry partners, as requested. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 14 years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree in STEM discipline and 12 years relevant work experience
• Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph
• Strong background in data science and artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML) tools, applications, and architectures
• Experience with IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures, systems and/or operations
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional team
• Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and communications skills
