SAIC has an immediate opening for a Full Stack Developer on a collaborative and agile team in support of the customers exciting mission! In this role you will provide full life cycle support to the customer's applications and tools. You will also refine and enhance existing applications, as well as assist with the development of solutions to software architecture problems and broad design solutions. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with the aptitude to tackle technical challenges and develop solutions. Responsibilities include:

• Ability to prioritize work based upon customer needs
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of the applications using modern standards
• Share O&M responsibilities with other development team members
• Translate requirements into mockups and fully functional applications
• Investigate and seek new and innovative methods to improve the customer experience
• Work with the Scrum Master and management to plan sprints and ensure any barriers are eliminated for team members
• Work with the development team to help arrive at solutions users and managers need
• Interface with testers to resolve any issued found before release
• Interface with users to gather requirements and feedback
• Provide input on the way forward with software architecture of the applications
• Provide technical perspective on application and current capabilities
• Maintain software development process to ensure consistency in delivery and quality
• Ensure releases are appropriately constructed and delivered for independent testing
• Maintain application and infrastructure related repositories
• Experience with using customer applications to appropriately update and map existing work tickets
• Provide on-call support, as needed 

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly
• 12+ years of experience working in software engineering, application development, and/or web application development and deployment
• 5+ years of Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Java, and other OO languages
• 5+ years of experience with Rails in varying versions
• Strong foundation in Linux
• Familiar with GWT, ReactJS, Backbone JS, and Rails front-end technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot Ruby on Rails applications, Apache HTTPD, Solr, Linus, AWS
• Familiar with Git source code version control software
• Behavior and Test-Driven Development using Cucumber, RSpec, and supporting libraries
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience working in Agile Team environment
• Familiar with working with data in varying encodings and character sets
• Familiar with ETL concepts and Restful web services
• Strong customer service skills
