Description
SAIC is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer responsible for US BICES Service Design. This candidate will lead all efforts to transition the service delivery strategy for execution into service operations. The ideal candidate will have an active TS/SCI in order to lead the technical aspects of a large Combatant Command support program with worldwide impact for the highest levels of the Department of Defense (DoD) in innovative network consolidation, maintenance and support.
The selected candidate is expected to be the source of truth for all things technical in regards to modernization, network configurations, and Cloud services, in order to provide technical oversight for the program workforce to deliver exceptional service in support of the DoD. In conjunction with the Secretary of the Air Force Concepts, Development, and Management (SAF/CDM) Mission Partner Capability Office (MPCO), (SAF/CDMX) Mission Partner Environment (MPE), and IT consolidation initiatives; as well as, similar Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) efforts across the DoD.
Responsibilities include:
Engineering a secure, global collaboration environment over a private multi-location enterprise cloud services and LAN/WAN environment.
· Develop and deploy infrastructure solutions (Network, System, Cloud, Cyber, and Security solutions) in compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards.
· Collaborate with technical SMEs on enterprise-wide solutions, participate in technical working groups, and contribute to technical advisory boards.
· Assist in developing the template and documenting procedures and processes.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or a degree in a Mathematics or Engineering field.
· Minimum/General Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years engineering experience in support of IT network engineering, NetOps C2, and communications to include governance and policy and process development and implementation.
· Of the ten years engineering experience, at least five (5) years of experience managing/leading network C2 operations at a Network Operations Center (NOC) or in a major DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) network computing or communications program.
· Experience with developing policy and implementation plans for cross‐network communications, including Service and Joint networks is required.
· Experience in the available DoD classified and unclassified communications transport, and the organizations that manage them.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) or Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP).
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
· Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required.
