SharePoint Web Developer

We are looking to hire a talented SharePoint Web Developer to create tailored SharePoint solutions for our government client. Our team develops software applications that use SharePoint as a backend to manage data and unique permission sets. The ideal individual will be responsible for configuring and customizing software that uses modern tools (e.g., SharePoint REST API) to perform CRUD operations on the data stored in SharePoint, along with designing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to manage the data being stored in SharePoint.

To ensure success, the ideal individual should have a working knowledge of SharePoint; proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript; and the ability to solve complex issues.  Additionally, the ability to merge data to create and integrate professional user interfaces and data visualizations (charts, graphs, tables, and reports using open source JavaScript libraries), perform calculations, and display data stored within SharePoint is required. An important requirement is the ability to work on a government platform and ensure that all work product performs correctly when used by the end-user on a government platform.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with the design team to review website and application requirements.
• Set development goals and track task progression.
• Configure company and client SharePoint systems to meet specified requirements.
• Design, code, and implement customized solutions.
• Extend SharePoint functionality with custom coded forms, user interfaces, and tools.
• Test and debug code.
• Assess website interface and software stability.
• Troubleshoot software issues.
• Maintain and update SharePoint applications.
• Provide systems-based technical training to staff and customers.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. A Bachelors in Computer Science or IT related field is preferred with  3 years of relevant Web Development experience. May consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree, or a combination of relevant experience and school/training. 
• Coding skills--proficient with JavaScript (including jQuery, DataTables, and Chart.JS), HTML, and CSS.
• Ability to solve complex software issues.
• Ability to project manage.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desired:

• Experience working for the Department of Defense, preferably supporting military healthcare operations or DHA.
