Digital Airport Surveillance Radar and Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System
JOB DESCRIPTION: Identifies concepts, assesses system performance, and coordinates transition plans for the implementation of new surveillance and automation systems. Providing the planning, coordination, and oversight of system installations, acceptance and cutover, and equipment removals to ensure seamless service for USAF ATC Interfaces with customers to handle service inquiries and problems to include performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order. Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action. May make technical presentations and has a strong knowledge of products. Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities. Under general supervision, these roles establish company guidelines on servicing and repairs/returns; examine customer problems and implement appropriate corrective action to initiate repair, return or field servicing; and maintain logs, records and files. Refers more complex repairs and services to higher-level personnel. Represents the company in a customer support role and is responsible for customer's satisfaction with equipment and servicing.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (12) years or more experience; Masters and seven (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience or 20 years+ of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Candidate must have a combination of education and experience totaling 20 years in Air Traffic Control.
Prior experience with Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) and Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and background in surveillance and automation systems is required.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
