SAIC is seeking a Senior Radar System Engineer to join our STARS team in Huntsville, AL. The senior-level candidate is responsible for analyzing radar signal data, issue root cause identification and resolution, algorithm development, and presentation of results for technical briefings to leadership. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree.

Required Clearance:

• An Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to employment; a Secret Security Clearance is required to maintain employment.

Required Skills:

• Understanding of radar signal and data processing
• MATLAB knowledge and experience
• Experience with root cause analysis of strategic radar systems and interoperability
• LINUX knowledge and experience

Desired Skills:

• PERL script knowledge and experience 
• Familiarity with X-band radars
• Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) pre- and post-test analysis activities and procedures
