SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, is seeking a Systems Engineer to work in a specialized team that will help gain efficiencies in communication and workflow processes by optimizing communication using cross domain network solutions (i.e. unsecure to secure network connections) in conjunction with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software.
Responsibilities include:
Provide expertise and guidance in the procurement of cross domain solutions and maintain such solutions and systems
Recommend and perform implementation and integration strategies for cross domain solutions
Engineer solutions with OCR and data capture technology
Conduct full system development lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline. Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in the following:
Understanding various security systems, including as but not limited to: ARES (Oracle), INSPIRE, PSARS, COGNOS.
Utilizing AWS cloud services such as AWS ProServe and IaC (Infrastructur-as-code)
Demonstrated experience with software engineering, DevOps, Cross domain transfer, and O&M.
Working with OCR, including data extraction and restructuring into other formats, particularly with IBM Datacap Taskmaster Capture, version 22.0.1.
Eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
Integrating information from multiple sources.
Utilizing JIRA and Confluence
Documenting and gathering requirements, and tracking their progress accordingly
Working with SharePoint and document control management
Analyzing and designing business processes
Implementing management reporting workflows
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience having basic understanding of overall security processes and industry best practices
Demonstrated experience obtaining full understanding of the personnel security process with expectations of reviewing and analyzing current trends for improvement of security processing systems.
