SAIC is seeking a Digital Infrastructure Lead to help NSWC Crane and the Navy Hypersonic Program Office across Digital Infrastructure and Digital Engineering activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a member of SAIC’s team, you will provide system engineering and technical services, enabling new and superior hypersonic weapon capabilities to be delivered to the warfighter at the speed of relevance. In this role, you will help guide Digital Infrastructure strategy and the Navy enterprise’s approach to collaboration, development, and integration activities for successful weapons system development.  You will provide technical expertise in Information Technology (IT) systems and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) that enable Digital Engineering practices and position the program to achieve its Digital Engineering goals. This role requires a strong awareness of on-going IT projects across the enterprise, while balancing the needs of the program with stakeholder requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participating in and facilitating team meetings to reach requirement consensus and capture strategic digital engineering capabilities for customers, both internal and external
  • Executing and directing end-to-end digital engineering processes. This includes preparing and coordinating required documentation
  • Capturing DI users’ needs by performing requirements elicitation directly with stakeholders, and drafting and documenting requirements for submittal to Enterprise IT resources to implement
  • Supporting engineering reviews and additional systems engineering tasks, as needed

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 9 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 7 years of related engineering experience, OR a PhD in STEM with 4 years of related engineering experience
  • Exposure with MBSE methodologies
  • Experience in requirements development – ideally in Dassault Systemés Cameo or other Requirements Management tool (e.g. DOORS, MagicDraw, Jama, Enterprise Architect, Capella, etc.)
  • Basic computer networking knowledge. (LANs, WANs, routers, data flows, interfaces, etc.)
  • Basic experience with modern digital engineering systems, tools, and workflows (e.g. Atlassian Jira and Confluence, PTC Windchill, MS Teams and SharePoint, and GitLab)
  • Ability to understand complex systems and their interrelated dependencies
  • Experience in application of Systems Engineering concepts to complex systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex topics and information with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and judgment to know how to navigate and resolve challenging situations
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work on a fast-moving program and manage needs of multiple stakeholders

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Interim Secret required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret. 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • DoD Systems Engineering Experience desired (Navy/Army preferred)
  • Basic computer application architecture knowledge (VM architecture, containerization, DevSecOps CI/CD)
  • Advanced computer networking and application knowledge.  (VLAN/VM architecture, containerization, protocols, cybersecurity STIGs etc.)
  • Experience coding in Python, Javascript, or other scripting language
  • Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira or MS Project, Milestones Professional)
  • INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP certifications
