Description
SAIC is seeking a cyber-inclined Systems Engineer to work at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center with the government customer in Newport, RI.
The preferred candidate is a systems engineer with combat systems experience and knowledge. The candidate will work with the combat systems team during the various phases of development, test and evaluation, installation, and fleet training. Successful candidates should have relevant experience in the combat systems engineering field and the curiosity, drive, and skills to excel in providing engineering consulting to the customer. Role may include travel.
Work will be performed in Newport, RI and will therefore be open to candidates local to the area.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience OR no degree and fifteen (15) years or more of experience
- Fire Control Systems experience, Enlisted Navy experience, and systems engineering experience
- 8570 Level II Certified (CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certification).
- Minimum of an active SECRET clearance is required
