SAIC is seeking a self-driven and motivated Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to lead system accreditation for a critical customer organization. The successful candidate will work closely with the customer to not only collect evidence to support accreditation, but will help establish processes, procedures and a plan for tracking status of accreditations and updates for all mission systems.  The candidate will bring subject matter expertise to ensure proper documentation, procedures and methods are implemented for achieving and maintaining system accreditation. The candidate will be the primary interface with customer engineers and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.  Less experience can be considered with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience with the customer’s authorization and accreditation (A&A) process and requirements. Current knowledge of customer regulations and mandates for maintaining system accreditation
• Ability to initiate and complete all required documentation (78 critical controls, CONOPs, triage, system security plans and ATD/ATO)
• Experience developing system accreditation schedules and gathering data to track and report on system status
• Ability to tactfully coordinate with customer PMs and contractors to help bring systems into compliance and maintain that status
• Experience developing system security schedules for each accreditation boundary for all mission systems and new hardware devices
• Familiarity with how to obtain software waivers as necessary
• Ability to validate server patches and operating system updates and ensure they are deployed in a timely fashion as defined by the ISSM
• Ability to modify documentation as technical development efforts dictate, maintaining configuration control on documents
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, particularly with documenting highly technical information into a consolidated format and communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
