Description
Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Capacity Manager to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Comprehensive responsibility for data capacity management support services to ensure sufficient capacity and performance to meet mission demands, as part of the overall strategic objective of the program modernization and initiatives to provide an improved flexible and evolving enterprise IT environment to support the program mission IAW with program and DoD policies and procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices. Maintains data capacity management standards baseline. Implements data capacity monitoring/trend analysis processes to provide capacity metrics and highlight performance issues across IT infrastructure, applications (virtualized/physical), user data profiling, and IT components. Develops forecasts for growth and expansion (DEL 111) to recommend changes in capacity. Ensures that the capacity and demand process is integrated with all aspects of the IT service lifecycle. Assesses incidents/problems related to throughput performance. Directs installation, management, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of many varied server, storage, networking, service management, health and capacity management, and optimization products and technologies. Oversees deployment of a Virtualized Multi-Tenant Data Center and various secure hybrid Cloud Computing solutions, virtualized storage, networks, and desktops in the program’s environment. Coordinates deployment and troubleshooting of storage, network, server (applications and databases) and managing software for virtual capabilities. Directs deployment and management of SAN including EMC, using Hyper-Converged solutions and pure flash storage VDI-specific solutions. Provisions virtual servers to support Unified Computing and SharePoint deployments. Responsible for deploying PC over IP (PCoIP) encryption and decryption technologies. Ensures performance of daily VDI Health Checks using Stratusphere or similar technology. Plans and coordinates transfer servers from physical to virtual at onsite enterprise locations. Builds virtual environmental training plans and trains personnel to manage the complex backend virtual environment. Develops capacity, demand, and performance management knowledge articles.
