SAIC is hiring a Senior Cloud Computing Engineer for the Cloud One Common Computing Environment (CCE) program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). This position is 100% remote.
Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data that will serve the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Army (USA). Cloud One incorporates the capabilities of commercial cloud and Managed Service Providers (MSP) residing in Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). Cloud One facilitates the USAF and USA’s efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF and USA's IT operations.
Job Responsibilities:

Plan, Architect, Assist in Managing, Implement migration for on prem Mission application partners to the Data Transport
-
Design, develop, document, test and debug application software.

Conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.

Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.

Ensures software standards are met.

Engage with Mission Application stakeholders to collect and validate requirements, understand problems, and present solutions.

Collaborate with cyber team to ensure guard rails and to request network/firewall configuration changes.

Lead and mentor teammates on data transport solutioning

Prepare/update software interface specification documentation.

Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Apache Camel routes
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Experience in Computer Science, Mathematic or software development preferred
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Interim Secret clearance required; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment
- US citizenship required

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
