SAIC is seeking a top-notch Facilities Project Manager to join our talented team in Lompoc, CA. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. This position is responsible for providing the project and programmatic management expertise for the coordination, planning, and work prioritization of assigned projects for the Client, ranging in value from $200K to $70M or more.

In this role you will serve as an interface between the government facilities management organization, design and construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support contractor, local utilities, and all other customers and stakeholders on matters related to customer requirements, project prioritization, and execution. You will be responsible for overseeing the five phases of the project life cycle, to include requirements development, programming, design, construction, and closeout. You will serve as a Project Manager overseeing and managing the tasks and functions related to the Client’s overall facilities operations. Some, but not all, of the anticipated areas of responsibility include:

  • Facilities Recapitalization
  • Long-term facilities planning
  • Advocacy and justification for budget and corporate prioritization
  • Monitoring and Documentation of Critical Infrastructure
  • Design and construction monitoring

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the liaison, reporting to and coordinating with U.S. government representatives at multiple levels.
  • Oversee the A/E and construction contractor during project execution to ensure that customer requirements are accomplished on time, to the specified quality and within budget.
  • Ensure the government receives valid cost proposals.
  • Develop and report on metrics to support the paradigm of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities related engineering or architectural field with 10 + years of relevant experience in IC, DOD or Commercial Sector. Note that relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of the Client’s operations.
  • Self-starter – this position will be part of a team but management will not be local.
  • Knowledge of facility operation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing contracts.
  • Demonstrated track record of adhering to tight schedules with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing resources.
  • Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, schedules, and adhering to control gates.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with facility electrical and mechanical systems
  • Master’s Degree in a Business, Engineering or Architectural Field
  • Experience in schedule analysis
  • Project Management Institutes’ PMP or equivalent project management certification

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
